“Co-creating hopeful, sustainable futures.” “Strong sustainability.” Huh?

Here’s where I try to define my terms.

What I’m taking about when I talk about “co-creating hopeful, sustainable futures” and “strong sustainability”

Sounds fluffy, right? It’s not. When I use phrases like these, I am not talking about pastel-coloured visions and soft words.

I’m talking about being:

  • pragmatic → “This is what we know, the facts on the ground,”
  • active → “So let’s do something or try something to change the facts,”
  • optimistic → “Oh, we’re making things different! Let’s do more.”

And I’m not working towards any-old futures.

I am working towards hopeful, sustainable futures.  These are futures where we choose strong sustainability. This is the kind of sustainability that allows us to live well, in the present and the future, without harming ecosystems, animals, and the natural world.

And I do this by putting my skills and experience to work: as a facilitator, communicator, trainer, storyteller, futures practitioner, and multi-sensory experience designer.
