Coaching is all the rage at the moment, but I am not a coach. I am a mentor.

What’s the distinction? I base my mentoring on nearly 20 years in business, working in the corporate world, as a consultant, as a business owner in 6 countries on 5 continents, and as someone who has successfully transitioned from business ownership to a successful portfolio career. I’ve worked with hundreds of transitioning individuals as well as new and growing businesses in a range of sectors over the years, as a mentor and advisor, which means that I offer expertise, knowledge and hard-earned experience, too.

Unlike a business coach, I don’t simply ask questions – I share experiences, help to brainstorm practical ideas, provide insights, motivate (and nag, sometimes!), give good advice and sometimes simply roll up my sleeves and help you “get stuff done.”

The aim of mentoring is to give you a boost so that you can get to where you want to be faster, with fewer mistakes and more successes behind you. And my overall objective is always to help you get to a point where you don’t need me.

I only mentor a handful of individuals, entrepreneurs and business owners at a time – mostly women – because I invest a lot of myself in you and I want you to have my full attention. I am direct, practical and high-energy – you’ll get no nonsense or sugar-coated fibs from me.

If you think that I might be the person to help you move forward with your ideas, projects or business, get in touch for an initial chat and we’ll see if we’re a good fit before doing anything else.

“Suzanne mentored me for a 6-month period, helping me learn the ins-and-outs of being a business owner and helping me get up to speed with what I needed to do before I launched my art therapy business. As I was transitioning from a full-time role into my life as a business owner, I found that working with a mentor was an essential first step, and working with Suzanne was definitely right for me. I felt that she “fast-tracked” me, giving me answers to questions I didn’t even know existed! She challenged me constantly, keeping me honest and accountable, and the result was that I managed to launch my business a full month earlier than planned. I still work with her when I get stuck and am always blown away at how generous she is with her information and how intuitive she is in giving me exactly the right information when I need it most. If you need someone on your site, who can help you start a new business without all the stress you’d anticipate, try Suzanne.” – Justine Withers, Art Therapist

“Suzanne is a breath of fresh air. She is direct, knowledgeable and always goes above and beyond what I expect.” – Marcus Richards, Entrepreneur
